Exclusive to healthcare and mental health.
Bastion Intelligence is an expert advisory and professional services organization exclusive to healthcare and mental health industries, with a focus on generative AI security, privacy, and compliance.
Four principles we won't trade off.
These aren't posters in a break room. They're how we decide what work to take and how to deliver it.
Healthcare or nothing
We don't take retail, fintech, or martech engagements. Every hour of our team's time goes into healthcare problems. It makes our pattern library sharper and our advice faster.
Senior people do the work
No pyramid staffing. The advisor on your scoping call is the advisor on your deliverables. We scale by being selective about engagements, not by leveraging inexperienced headcount.
Write it down
Every engagement produces written artifacts your team can defend, audit, and extend. Meetings are useful; durable documentation is what survives organizational change, audits, and staff transitions.
Compliance is the shortcut
Privacy, security, and regulatory posture are designed in from the first conversation, not bolted on before go-live. That's how our engagements ship faster than generic AI consultancies and land with something your privacy officer will actually sign.
15 years of healthcare AI, from frontier to the floor.
A short history of how we got here, and where we're going.
Founders lead AI innovation in major health systems
Our executives lead the evaluation and implementation of AI technologies for healthcare providers with an annual spend totaling $4.9 billion.
Founded as a healthcare-only AI advisory
Bastion Intelligence is founded with a bet: generative AI in healthcare will need dedicated expertise, not a side practice of a generalist consultancy.
First governance frameworks deployed at scale
Our AI governance playbooks are adopted by three regional health systems. We publish our first public guidance on PHI handling in LLM pipelines.
BastionGPT launches
We ship the first version of BastionGPT, the HIPAA-compliant AI platform with BAA on every plan, built in response to repeated client requests for a compliant alternative to ChatGPT.
Microsoft Partner status; research practice formalized
Admitted to the Microsoft Partner Network for Azure AI deployments. Our Healthcare AI Research team begins evaluating and publishing AI evaluations and best practices.
Bastion Intelligence identity introduced
Bastion Intelligence adds operation under the Bastion Intelligence name, a unified identity that reflects the firm's sharpened focus on secure artificial intelligence across BastionGPT, advisory, and research.
10,000 organizations, one focus
Over 10,000 healthcare organizations now use Bastion Intelligence products or advisory services, from solo psychiatrists to integrated delivery networks. Expanded research practice, deeper EHR integrations, and new work on agentic clinical workflows, all held to the same compliance posture we started with.
An experienced team leading the way forward.
